Autodocta – 2010 Chrysler Grand Voyager

VEHICLE: 2010 Chrysler Grand Voyager

ISSUE: Engine malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illuminated and trouble code P2463 stored fault

DIAGNOSIS & SOLUTION:
We recently had a 2010 Grand Voyager in our workshop with the engine malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) illuminated and trouble code P2463 stored in the engine control module fault memory. The Diesel particulate filter (DPF) was regenerated by us and the vehicle was OK for a while but has now returned to the workshop with several DPF related trouble codes stored in the engine control module fault memory. We are reluctant to replace the DPF as these are expensive parts, do you have any advise for us?
Yes, we are aware of a fault which affects Grand Voyager models with 2,8 Diesel engine. The cause of the problem is poor connection between Diesel particulate filter (DPF) pressure sensor and wiring harness connector due to corrosion (fig. 1.1.). Replace the DPF pressure sensor and wiring harness connector using repair kit, available from Chrysler parts department. Carry out DPF pressure sensor reset procedure using suitable diagnostic equipment. Erase fault codes and carry out road test to confirm the fault has been rectified.
