VEHICLE: 2013 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross
ISSUE: Wind noise from windscreen area
DIAGNOSIS & SOLUTION:
We are having difficulty diagnosing a wind noise from the windscreen area when driving at 85-100 mph (137-160 kph) on a 2013 Suzuki SX4 S-Cross. We have experienced the wind noise on road test but cannot find the source of the fault in the workshop. Have you any ideas where to start to fix this car?
Yes, from the symptom you have described the fault is likely to be due to unsatisfactory design of the windscreen upper trim. This fault affects SX4 S-Cross models produced up to 04/05/15. Dry out and clean the area between the roof panel and windscreen upper trim. Apply tape to the front edge of the roof panel to prevent damage to the paintwork . Apply adhesive, available from Suzuki parts department, between windscreen upper trim and roof panel . DO NOT move vehicle for 24 hours to allow the adhesive to cure. Carry out road test to confirm the fault has been rectified.
