ISSUE: Ticking noise in passenger compartment when driving at 1500-2500 rpm
DIAGNOSIS & SOLUTION:
A customer is complaining that their Vauxhall Corsa-E 1,3 CDTi has a ticking noise in the passenger compartment when driving at 1500-2500 rpm. We have heard the noise on road test but have been unable to find the cause of the ticking noise when back in the workshop. Have you heard of this ticking noise problem before?
We are aware of a fault with the brake servo vacuum pipe not being secured properly causing a ticking noise. This fault affects Astra-K and Corsa-E models with 1,3/1,6 Diesel engines. Fit a modified brake servo vacuum pipe retaining clip (fig. 1.1.). Carry out road test to ensure fault is rectified.
