Autodata joins fellow publishers in historic partnership

In a historic moment, Autodata has joined forces with a respected group of fellow automotive data publishers in creating a new international association to ensure fair access to automotive data and information across Europe.

As well as fair access, the newly created European Independent Automotive Data Publishers Association (ADPA) will also look to provide a competitive framework of conditions for independent data publishers.

Mark Trepte, Content & Operations Director at Autodata, said: “Seeing the industry come together in this way to work toward positive common causes is hugely constructive and massively beneficial for the wider industry. This is particularly important with the technological advancements in vehicles over recent years, delivering increased levels of complexity.”

“We continue to work closely, not just with the numerous businesses that rely on access to accurate data and instructions, but also the many manufacturers around the world. It will be these strong and positive relationships, along with this new collaborative approach, that will allow us to ensure the aftermarket continues to have access to the up-to-date information it needs.”

Alongside Autodata, the other founding members of the ADPA are Robert Bosch GmbH, HaynesPro, Hella Gutman Solutions, Sator Holding LKQ and TecRMI.

Autodata remains a globally trusted provider of data and instructions to the automotive aftermarket to support the service, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of vehicles. Today, this is not just delivered via online applications, but also through innovative technology, allowing other businesses to build their own solutions around huge data sets.

Although Autodata is used in more than 100 countries, Europe remains the organisation’s biggest market. It also remains a key area of growth and investment as Autodata continues to become closer to the end user and invests further in regional representation.
