The Motor & Allied Trades Benevolent Fund (BEN)

BEN is the UK’s dedicated charity for those who work, or have worked, in the automotive and related industries and their dependents. They help thousands of people every year by providing information and advice on a range of issues or, offering friendship and even financial support.

Each year, Autodata and its employees participate in a number of fundraising activities and volunteering to raise funds to help support their work with industry professionals during times of hardship.

In 2011, Autodata was presented with an award in recognition of its contributions to the fund at the annual GEA dinner. In 2012, Autodata also received a ‘Silver Quality Mark Award’, as part of a payroll giving initiative rolled out across the organisation.

Autodata is currently supporting BEN with its Four Pillars campaign.

The Retail Motor Industry Federation (RMI)


The RMI’s Independent Garage Association (IGA) is the largest UK representative body in the independent garage sector. As the highly respected and leading body for the protection of the industry’s reputation, the IGA has long been an active campaigner for access to reputable and accurate technical information for independent garages.

Autodata has worked alongside the RMI for a number of years to provide its members with the best opportunity to obtain reliable and up-to-date technical information, which increases the accuracy and quality of vehicle repairs and servicing.

The Institute Of The Motor Industry (IMI)

The IMI is the professional association for individuals working in the retail motor industry and the authoritative voice of the sector. The body is committed to transforming the automotive industry by setting, upholding and promoting professional standards – driving skills acquisition, establishing clearer career paths, and boosting public confidence.

With decades of experience in the aftermarket industry, Autodata is committed to sharing its knowledge and skill base with fellow industry professionals. As part of Autodata’s relationship with the IMI, internal industry experts have delivered a series of speeches to IMI members on a diverse range of topics, including market trends, IP enforcement activity and industry standards. Autodata also provide members with a monthly technical contribution, designed to save technicians’ and workshop owners valuable time and money in the diagnostic phase.

The Automotive Data Publishers' Association

ADPA, the European Independent Automotive Data Publishers Association, aims to ensure fair access to automotive data and information and to provide competitive framework conditions for independent data publishers. This enables the publishers to to design and provide competitive, innovative and multibrand products and services to operators of the automotive aftermarket. Founded in 2016 and based in Brussels, ADPA is a Member of AFCAR, the Alliance for the Freedom of Car Repair in the European Union.
