New to Autodata: January 2016 vehicle updates and feature enhancements

Last month a series of updates took place, including the addition of new models, new vehicle data, plus a range of feature enhancements, as part of the product’s ongoing development to continually reflect the demands of a modern workshop.

Vehicle updates

  • 78 new models were added, including: Audi A1 (15), BMW 5 Series (14-15), Citroen Berlingo III (11-15), Mazda 2 (15), Mercedes-Benz Vito (14-15), Nissan Pulsar (15), Vauxhall Adam (14-15), Peugeot 308 (13-15), Toyota Corolla (13-15)
  • 2,303 vehicle updates occurred on new models, with information obtained directly from vehicle manufacturers
  • 950 vehicle updates occurred on existing models, including: key programming, repair times, service schedules, TPMS and wiring diagrams

Feature enhancements

The following features were introduced or modified to improve the user experience and increase workshop efficiency.

Refreshed homepage design

Several changes have been made to the design and functionality of the homepage, as part of ongoing development to ensure the platform delivers maximum efficiency and is intuitive and easy to use. This includes the addition of a news section, so subscribers can keep up-to-date with the latest product updates and industry news. 

Zoom functionality added to all powertrain pages

The ability to zoom in-and-out for graphics on the auxiliary drive belt and clutches pages has been added. This includes the capability to pan and drag around the page.

Engine management improvements

Improved functionality has been added to all engine management pages, including the ability to ‘open all’ technical information with a single click.

During the coming month, Autodata will continue to make further updates to enhance the user experience and ensure subscribers are always receiving the latest technical information and innovative features:

  • New models and vehicle updates
  • New known fixes and bulletins
  • New interactive coloured wiring diagrams
  • Enhanced interactive capability for component locations
  • New service schedules added
