Autodata to share workshop of the future insights at Automechanika Birmingham

Autodata will be exhibiting and sharing their insight with the industry during their seminar at Automechanika Birmingham 2016.

Automotive aftermarket professionals are invited to attend a seminar hosted by Autodata, on June 7th, 2016 at 11:00am, where industry experts will share their knowledge of the workshop of the future. Although all workshops have the right to access manufacturer information and the right to service all vehicles, this alone will not be enough to ensure the future success of your workshop. The seminar will cover topics including: how connected and autonomous vehicles (CAV’s) will affect workshops, how data connected technology is shaping the way workshops will function in the future, and how workshops and technicians today can prepare for these significant changes.

Autodata is already working with global organisations to provide numerous solutions for the automotive aftermarket. Some solutions on market, that are currently powered by Autodata include:

  • Diagnostic tools
  • Consumer-focused service and repair comparison applications
  • Seamless parts catalogues
  • Garage management systems

Today each solution operates on their own; in the near future, Autodata will combine these invaluable solutions to seamlessly connect customers to their cars, and their cars seamlessly to your workshop.

Data connected technology has already evolved the role of technicians. According to the SMMT, 31.7% of new cars registered in the UK are fitted with autonomous features. Autodata’s seminar will highlight how workshops can benefit from this new and developing world of data connected technology, and how linking all automotive solutions can help workshops to thrive in this highly competitive and connected industry.

Automechanika Birmingham visitors will also be given the opportunity to try Autodata’s online workshop tool at the exhibition. Autodata covers over 29,000 models across 80 different vehicle manufacturers, providing workshops with access to over 500,000 step-by-step procedures. The technical information within Autodata’s industry renowned online workshop tool is licensed directly from vehicle manufacturers, and has been developed specifically around the needs of the modern workshop. The online workshop tool provides quick and easy access to technical information, which supports technicians with services, diagnostics, maintenance and repairs.
