Autodata’s advanced workshop application for cars & vans and Autodata for Motorcycles celebrate their first anniversary. It has only been a year since Autodata revealed the latest version of its advanced workshop application for cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), and the launched of Autodata for Motorcycles online. Over the last 12 months, there have been over 37,000 technical information updates, and 1,465 new models, as well as 353 news features and enhancements in the workshop application.
This time last year, subscribers to Autodata logged in to find that their technical information was even more advanced. The redesigned workshop application had new and enhanced features, including ‘Quick Links’ – a feature designed for speed, efficiency and easy access to common service operations; a new engine oil module that provides a clear and efficient layout of engine oil information such as filling capacity and oil grade options; enhanced vehicle images; faster page navigation; and more support for mobile devices.
At the same time, Autodata for Motorcycles online was launched. Once again, Autodata reformed the way automotive technical data is being delivered to automotive technicians by delivering the world’s first online multi-manufacturer motorcycle technical information application. For workshops that maintain vehicles on both two and four wheels, Autodata for cars & vans could now be combined with Autodata for Motorcycles to provide a complete technical information solution for professionals.
Autodata’s developments did not stop there – at the beginning of 2017, Autodata pledged to launch one key new feature or enhancement every month to further increase workshop efficiency. So far, we have seen brand new Autodata modules including Tyres, Service Transmission, Service Summary, and new features including an enhanced DTC module; new search tools for quicker and easier vehicle identification; upgraded interactive wiring diagrams; DTCs integrated with faults and fixes; and ‘Assist Me’ – a step-by-step guided diagnostics to make diagnostics quicker and easier.
Autodata provides technical information for over 34,000 car and van models, from 142 manufacturers worldwide. Autodata’s online workshop application provides technicians with the technical data needed to effectively and efficiently carry out vehicle servicing, repairs and diagnostics for the vehicles seen in their workshops.
Autodata’s features are designed for speed, efficiency and easy access to common service and repair operations. Some of the features in Autodata’s application includes technical specifications, wiring diagrams, service schedules, repair times, an estimate calculator, and 600,000 step-by-step procedures such as battery disconnection and reconnection, jacking modes, wheel alignment, engine management, air conditioning, diagnostics and much more.
“So much has happened in such a short space of time and it has not been easy, but we are doing what it takes to ensure that our customers have the most powerful and efficient technical information system possible to make their jobs easier.”
