ISSUE – Rattling noise from the underside of vehicle when driving
DIAGNOSIS & SOLUTION:
A 2013 Subaru Forester 2,0 we look after has a rattling noise from the underside of the vehicle when driving. We have experienced the rattling noise on road test but with the vehicle in the workshop we are struggling to find the cause of the noise. Has anyone reported this rattling noise before?
Yes, we are aware of a rattling noise that affects the Subaru Forester. The cause is likely to be due to the fuel pipe vibrating against the fuel tank. Apply felt tape, available from Subaru parts department, to the fuel pipe. Carry out road test to confirm fault has been rectified.
