Autodata goes the extra mile with new general procedure guides

Autodata, the leading provider of technical information globally, has gone the extra mile for workshops. Autodata has introduced a series of new in-depth general guides that give technicians an overview of procedures such as diagnostics, wheel alignment and timing belt replacements while they are carrying out procedures.

The new guides are published by Autodata to introduce best practice procedures into workshops and to provide advice that applies to all vehicle manufacturers. The additional information in the guides illustrates the basic principles of an operation and untangles the variations that occur across different manufacturers. The guides are great learning resources for apprentices learning the trade. They are also brilliant go-to technical references for experienced technicians who may want to refresh their knowledge of an operation or may have come across a new procedure and would like more information.

The guides, researched and written in-house by Autodata’s experienced team of master technicians cover everything from the very basics, to terminology, explanations, examples, and diagrams. They have been integrated with modules within the workshop application to give technicians access to valuable information without cluttering up and compromising the efficiency of the workshop application.

Autodata is designed to provide technicians with highly accurate technical data in the most efficient way possible. The online workshop application provides specific technical data for over 32,000 car and van models based on which models technicians are most likely to see in workshops. Over the last 12 months, Autodata has made over 30,000 feature updates to the online workshop application, including the new module guides.

These types of feature updates and technical updates to new and existing vehicle models are made every fortnight. Over the next 12 months, Autodata will continue to enhance user experience, add new vehicles, make technical updates to existing vehicles, add new graphics and publish additional module guides.
