Autodata Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Neil Brooks has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading drivers of business change and modernisation in his respective field.
Brooks joined Autodata in 2013 and has played a crucial role in delivering the organisation’s innovative new web application and API capabilities. In addition to leading a team of 43 – who ensure Autodata’s systems remain stable, safe and secure – Brooks has used his position on the Board of Directors to significantly enhance internal systems and processes.
The CIO 100 is compiled each year to showcase the achievements and ambitions of 100 business and technology executives leading transformation across a diverse range of markets. Brooks was included in the 2015 list after demonstrating business leadership that showed innovation, customer centricity and clear board-level influence.
This year’s expert panel concluded: “Neil Brooks has steered Autodata in an entirely new tech direction since he took the wheel two years ago. He championed using mature back-end systems with a roadmap for integration, delivered by a cloud specialist. And he has retooled product development using agile techniques for product prioritisation and cross-functional working, a new technology stack and a focus on analytics.”
Neil Brooks added: “To be part of this prestigious list is extremely satisfying and shows the progress Autodata has made recently to deliver against our mission to be the most innovative and respected supplier of automotive technical information. The transformation has encountered a number of challenges, however we are now in an extremely strong position, with the systems in place to embark on some exciting projects in the future.”
