Solera Autodata launches Autodata EV & Hybrid Support – powered by HEVRA

Helping independent workshops stay EV-ready with cutting-edge technical data, safety procedures, and partner support.

Leeds, UK– Sep 2025 – Solera Autodata today announces the launch of Autodata EV & Hybrid Support – powered by HEVRA, a new partnership solution developed with HEVRA and in close collaboration with the parent organisation, the Independent Garage Association (IGA).

Rolling out across the UK from October 2025, Autodata EV & Hybrid Support – powered by HEVRA provides independent EV Repair Businesses with access to essential information and guidance for servicing the rapidly growing number of EV and hybrid vehicles.

The solution delivers:

  • HEVRA vehicle guides and technical documentation, available online in an easy-to-search format.
  • Direct EV technical support from HEVRA experts, accessible via phone, WhatsApp, and email.
  • Qualification upload and verification, enabling businesses to prove their EV expertise and be listed as recognised HEVRA-approved garage.

Meeting a critical industry need

As the electrification of the vehicle parc accelerates, garages face significant challenges in acquiring the skills, tools, and technical data required to service these complex vehicles. With double digit growth of plug in vehicles expected year on year, independent garages, which make up the majority of the UK repair sector, need reliable access to safety-critical data and repair procedures to remain competitive.

A partnership designed to strengthen the independent sector

HEVRA, the UK’s leading network of independent EV & Hybrid specialists, brings practical expertise and direct engagement with garages already working on electrified vehicles. The Independent Garage Association (IGA), the owner of HEVRA, represents thousands of independent workshops across the UK and ensures that their needs and voices are at the heart of this initiative. Solera Autodata contributes decades of experience in delivering trusted, manufacturer-grade technical information to workshops worldwide.

Together, Solera Autodata and HEVRA are ensuring that independent garages can safely, confidently, and profitably repair and maintain EVs and hybrids — safeguarding consumer choice and supporting the transition to a low-emission future.

Pilot and future expansion

The UK pilot will engage over 2,000 independent garages, creating a foundation for a wider rollout. Following the UK launch, expansion is planned into European markets from 2026. This phased approach ensures that local industry needs are addressed while building on proven results.

“The shift to electrification is reshaping vehicle repair worldwide, and having the right data and expertise is essential for every workshop servicing EVs. With Solera Autodata’s trusted technical information, HEVRA’s specialist knowledge, and the IGA’s leadership, we’re creating a model that starts in the UK and will scale across Europe and beyond empowering the industry to service EVs safely, competitively, and profitably in the years ahead.” said Mark Tiana, Solera Business Development VP

“This partnership ensures that the expertise and resources developed through HEVRA are now accessible at scale, giving workshops the confidence to take on EV and Hybrid repairs. By working with Solera Autodata, we are bringing world class technical information together with specialist EV knowledge to grow our database of known fixes, support our members and the wider industry through the transition to electrification” said Stuart James, CEO of the Independent Garage Association (IGA)
