New to Autodata: November 2016 vehicle updates and feature enhancements

Over the last year, Autodata has consistently added and updated vehicle models and features, as part of the product’s on-going development to continually reflect the demands of a modern workshop.

Today, Autodata features 125, 000 wiring diagrams and 550,000 procedures for cars, vans and motorcycles. The workshop application covers over 40,000 vehicle models worldwide from over 155 manufacturers.

This month, 625 vehicle updates occurred on existing models, including key programming, repair times, service schedules, TPMS and wiring diagrams.

New feature enhancements

The following features were introduced or modified to improve the user experience and to increase workshop efficiency:

Tightening torques now available on engine oil page – Since the launch of the Engine Oil page a few months ago, the page has proven very popular with workshops. To save technicians even more time, we have enhanced this feature by adding the sump drain bolt and oil filter tightening torques (when specified).

New timing belts general guide – To further assist technicians with replacement and checking procedures we provide a general guide for timing belts, accessible from the timing belt page. This includes general information such as precautions, conventional (dry) timing belts, wet timing belts and belt tension measurements.

New wheel alignment general guide – To further assist technicians with wheel alignment procedures we now provide a general guide, available in the Wheel Alignment module. The guide includes general information on subjects such as camber angle, ride height, tyres and adjustment procedures (This information is currently only available for English-speaking users).
