PSA GROUP TIMING BELT CHANGES
Your Autodata product is regularly updated to take into account changing OEM recommendations for service intervals and part replacements. The following recommended service changes have been made by the manufacturer across 140 Citroën, DS, Opel/Vauxhall and Peugeot models with EB 3-cylinder petrol engines, which are now reflected in Autodata service schedules and Service Advisor.
A check of the timing belt width has been introduced in each service interval. The check is applicable to EB2 1.2 Turbocharged engines and for EB normally aspirated engines in the following countries: Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, and Finland. No dismantling of the engine is required apart from removing the oil filler cap. The check is carried out using special tool number 0109-6 (Opel number EN-52809) which is placed over the belt through the oil filler opening. If the belt is too wide, then it should be replaced.
All PSA Group vehicles using the EB petrol engines built up to 02.04.2017 (RPO No. 14755) now have a lower timing belt replacement interval. Under normal conditions the interval is now 100 000 km or 72 months – the equivalent miles interval is 62 500 miles or 64 000 miles depending on the service interval. Under adverse conditions the intervals have also been reduced and fit in with the service intervals. Intervals may vary due to market-specific requirements.
